Serial #U9701 This offering is for the pictured Peruvian Mauser Model 1891 Rifle. In only good looking condition, like most we have seen of this model, it has seen ample South American use and long storage.

Maker marked from DWM Germany on military contract.

Serial numbers no longer match. Metal finish is blued with wear and patina. Military crest is partly worn away on the receiver top from use and arsenal refurbishments. This one has a Swiss made refurbishment barrel on it, SJG (SIG) marked barrel 1934 era. This military bolt action repeater is almost identical to the Argentine contract rifle but for the Lang Vizer rear sight and handguard. Mechanically appear fine.

Wood stock is sound with typical dings and scuffs from use.

Chambered in 7.65x53 the bore is surprisingly brite with good rifling, smooth lands and grooves. Not import marked.
