Danish Model 1889 Krag Rifle. In good looking condition and maker marked from the Danish Haerens Arsenals in 1915. Full length military design, hardwood stock is sound overall with small chips at the butt plate.

This model has a barrel shroud considered the hand guard and is dent free. Only the serial number under the bolt handle is mas matched (this may in fact be an assembly number) the remainder are matching. Metal finish is military worn, turned mostly to silver/gray, slight patina with blue on the receiver recesses. Small area of pitting on the rear receiver top. This unique design feeds thru a side loading gate that is slightly different than the US Krag and appears to function fine.

Chambered in 8x58r the bore has very good+ rifling with darker frosted grooves. These rifles saw military service thru WW2.

Good rifle for the military collector.
