Chilean Model 1895 Carbine. In good used condition and maker marked from Loewe in Germany, a manufacture that ceased to exist before 1898 and is a sure antique. Produced on military contract this features the 18 inch barrel, turned down bolt and side sling swivel for issue with mounted or artillery troops.

Sound European hardwood stock set, serviceable but has plenty of small dings and compressions from use and long storage. Metal finish has some blue remaining but is worn and turning a patina. Chilean military crest atop the receiver, also shows wear. Remarkably it has matching serial numbers, bolt, receiver, cocking piece, safety, guard and floor plate. Cleaning rod is does not match.

Chambered in 7mm Mauser the bore has good rifling with smooth lands and grooves. Import marked.
