This offering is for one of vintage German Gew98 Mauser Transitional Rear Bands. Like the one pictured, all are in good used condition.

These feature the wide rear band with sling swivel on the base and were part of an upgrade package the Gew98s received in the post WW1, Weimar era. Condition is blued steel with finish wear.

The G98 Transitional received the flat tangent rear sight and the wide rear band for added strength.
