This offering is for 1 of our vintage British .55 Boyes Empty Stripper Clips. Like the ones pictured, (file photo) all are in good looking condition.
Each is 4.25 inches in length and formerly held early WW2 Boyes Anti Tank Rifle ammunition. Just like rifle stripper clips except much larger. Brass, 2 piece construction, mix of makers on the rear. Cartridges are shown for provenance only.
During early WW2 the .55 Boyes the cartridge and rifle were soon obsolete as armor was quickly thickened.
Makes a fine item for the military collector.
