Item # 3156 This offering is for the pictured US M4 Bayonet Modified to a Fighting Knife. Neat looking item, originally was a M4 bayonet for use on the M1 carbine.
South American surplus return, likely from Colombia, a recipient of US military aid. We have seen many rough rebuilds of M4 bayonets from that continent, some made into fighting knife variations.
Converted to a fighting knife, it has a replacement ribbed wood grip with a large palm swell, painted black. Replaced pommel no longer mounts to a rifle. Rough grinding and sharpening overall. Includes the beat up US M8 scabbard.
Makes a fine item for the military collector.
