Product Details
Serial #1192712 This offering is for the pictured US Model 1903 Mark 1 Rifle. In good looking condition and maker marked from Springfield Armory, serial number dated to 1920 production.

The Mark1 variation has the ejection port added to the receivers left side for use with the Pederson Device, a semi-automatic, high capacity small caliber conversion. A secret WW1 development to gain an advantage. Estimated over 150,000 rifles converted for the experimental device between 1918-1920.

Presently in standard bolt action configuration.

Likely rebuilt over the years, metal finish is fully sark parkerized with only slight wear. Bolt action repeater appears mechanically fine.

Stock set is American Walnut with an arsenal stain slopped on the wood, added partial serial number added to the right side.

Barrel date HS 7-44 refurbished for WW2 service. Chambered in 30-06 the bore is brite and excellent.

Makes a fine rifle for the military collector.
