Serial #41638 This offering is for the pictured Colt Model 1902Military Pistol. In good looking used condition this is the military model of the M1902 Sporting, with the squared rear grip, lanyard and slightly longer grip frame to take an additional round in the longer magazine.
Produced between 1902 and 1928, with 18068 produced for civilian, military and foreign military sales. It is a semi automatic pistol with a 6 inch barrel. Metal finish is original blued with wear mostly to the sharp edges, post 1908 spur hammer. This serial number is near the end of production and likely dates to near 1928 manufacture. Mechanically appears fine.
Original Colt hard rubber grips with average wear.
Chambered on .38 Automatic* the bore is brite with good+ rifling, frost lands and grooves.
*38 Automatic is a vintage obsolete caliber and is not interchangeable with .38 Super.
