Serial #9942 This offering is for the pictured Smith & Wesson 3rd Model Single Shot Pistol. In good looking used condition, produced between 1909 and 1923 and sometimes referred to as the "Perfected" target pistol.
Single action single action with a break top design, 10 inch barrel and adjustable rear sight.
Blued finish on the metal with light wear considering its 100 year age, occasional small rust fleck, may have been refinished back in the day. Small added dovetail on the spine for an old added rear sight is filled with a nickle wedge. Good ejector and appears mechanically fine.
Sound original hard wood grips, small grain crack on the top left panner and overall appears to have an added oil finish.
Chambered in .22 long rifle, the bore is brite with very good rifling. Makes a fine item for the collector. Firearm terms apply, ships to a C&R or Dealer FFL. State restrictions may apply.
