This offering is for 1 of out vintage East German Military Belts. In good looking used condition.

Attractive embossed buckle, 2 1/2 x 1 7/8 inches in size and are stamped alloy depicts the East German national emblem "Hammer and Compass surrounded by a ring of Rye".

The hammer represents the factory workers, the compass the intellegensia and the rye the farmers. Sometime known as the Socialist Heraldry. In use from 1950 to 1990 when the GDR was dissolved.

Belt strap is sturdy leather 1.75 inches wide 38 inches overall and show some wear.
