This offering is for 1of our Turkish M1 Garand Bayonet. A neat variation, these are Turkish Mauser bayonets modified to fit the M1 Garand rifle.
Therre a couple variations of the conversions, this one has had the pommel ground flat on the top to fit the lock, and the barrel ring cut, welded and rebored for the muzzle to barely rest in. The fit is pretty crude but presumably got the job done.
Turkish troops joined other UN forces in the Korean War and fielded the M1 with our assistance. Good overall condition, wear in military service as expected, Turkish ASFA property stamp on the pommel. Makes a fine display for the military collector.
