Item #4321 This offering is for the pictured Japanese Special Purpose Type 100 Knife Bayonet. In good looking condition and is a faux or fake item made up to look the part.
Fashioned from an original Type 38 bayonet, shortened and sharpened to look like an original.
The Type 100 was for use with special forces, Paratroop and Rangers organizations it was made to be worn on the belt as a knife and will also fit the rifle and machine guns. 12 inches in overall length with a 7 .75 inch blade, sound hard wood grip panels and the lock button works fine.
Shortened steel scabbard is a nice reproduction.
Fine item for the military collector.
