This offering is for one of our inert US Military M31 Practice Rifle Grenades. Like the one pictured, all are in surplus used condition.
These date from the early 1960's and were made to be used with the M1 Garand. It marked the end of the rifle grenade era, 17 inches in overall length and painted dummy round blue for inert identification.
These are a bit rusty, each will have a dent on the steel head and bent fins as part of the de-mil surplus process. Fins can be straightened for better display but are attached with frail rivets that may need reattachment or epoxy to look the part.
The M31's were a practice rifle grenade launched for training purposes, no powder or explosives.
Makes a fine display for the military collector.
