Item #4427 This offering is for the pictured German WW1 Fernglass 08 Binoculars. In good looking condition, maker marked from Spindler & Hoyer, Gottingen as the Feldglass 08 or Model design of 1908.
Semi compact for use by officers and observers. 4.5 x 4.25 inches overall. Alloy and brass body with bakelite eye pieces. Original green/gray textured finish has worn away and repainted field green as is common. Optics are clear and have limited field of view and magnification by today's standards. State of the art in WW1.
The focus adjustments and central tension knob work fine.
The case is not present.
Makes a fine item for the military collector. Just this 1 available. |
