This offering is for 1 of our vintage US 1911 Pistol Squad Cleaning Kit Cans. Like the one pictured all are in good used condition.
Made from brass with a removable lid, 3 inches in diameter.
In use these can would be part of the M1912 cleaning kit for the 1911 Pistols. The squad cleaning kit was a steel box containing the cleaning rods, tools, bore brushes and 1 of these tins for storage of grease, small parts or patches to maintain the Colt 1911.
Condition is good used covered with preservation grease, expect some to have small cracks at the base mouth.
** The pictured can is cleaned up for presentation (pic1) ** These will come covered in a preservation grease/tar substance (pic 2) that is cleanable with mineral spirits.
