Chilean Model 1895 Short Rifle. In good used condition and maker marked from Loewe in Germany, a manufacturee that ceased to exsist before 1898 and is a sure antique. Produced on military contract this features the 21 inch barrel, turned down bolt and side sling swivel for issue with mounted or artillery troops. Sound European hardwood stock set, serviceable but has plenty of small dings and compressions from use and long storage, Chilean FAEME cartuche on the left side. Metal finish is worn brite with slight patina and blue remaining on the receivers recesses. Chilean crest atop the receiver is also worn, serial numbers no longer match. Chambered in 7mm Mauser the bore has good rifling with darker frosted grooves. Cleaning rod is present and slightly damaged tip. Not import marked.
