Item #4545 This offering is for the pictured Antique Flint Lock Tinder Box Pistol. Original item that dates from the start of the 1800's. Made to create spark into a tinder bowl that could then be dropped into the fireplace or stove.
Much refined over the flint and steel fire starter and likely found in the finest homes.
In the shape of a pistol, 5.5 inches overall, iron body and bowl with some patina and old shellac. Fine checkered hard wood grip.
Makes a fine item for the collector.
